Dear reader,

Welcome to Florescer Holanda's newsletter!

It is with great enthusiasm that we share the latest news about our social enterprise, which we hope will be a beacon of support and care for the expatriate community, especially Portuguese speakers, in the Netherlands.

Starting today, you will receive our newsletter, a new way of communicating with you, where we will also bring you relevant content in the areas of health, social protection and culture.

The creation of this newsletter is part of the launch of the new Florescer Holanda website, which was designed with great care to serve our community even better.

In this first edition, we share an overview of our enterprise.

Let's go?

About us

Since our founding in May 2019, Florescer Holanda has been a project driven by women, professionals in medicine, psychology and culture.

Our mission is to offer care spaces in Portuguese, promote cultural connection and support projects that enrich the experience of living in the Netherlands. This mission is supported by fundamental values, such as respect, empathy, human development, transparency and ethical fidelity, in addition to promoting connections in a cooperative manner.

Our first volunteer work, the Biopsychosocial Service Ouvidos no Vondel, was the starting point for a journey dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of the Brazilian expatriate community.

In 2020 and 2021 we promoted Circle Conversation, bringing enriching interactions in times of great uncertainty and anguish.

Throughout these challenging years, we evolved, faced the pandemic with dedication and, more recently, launched Florescer Cuida de Você, which aims to further strengthen our mission. This initiative offers personalized care and health services with Portuguese-speaking professionals, registered in the Netherlands. By choosing our services, customers not only receive quality service, but also contribute to the sustainability of our social projects, as a portion of each booking goes towards these significant initiatives.

Finally, believing that culture is a fundamental part of the individual, Florescer Cultural supports projects that value Brazilian culture in all its spheres.

Who makes Florescer Holanda?

Tânia Lisboa and Cláudia Magaldi are currently the founding partners who manage the projects of Florescer Holanda.

Tânia is a psychologist and places the client at the heart of her practice, emphasizing their innate tendency for growth, development, and rediscovery of potential in a positive direction.

Cláudia is a pulmonologist and cultural and human expression agent. She believes in the transformative power of human connections, respecting limitations, and nurturing individual potential.

Together with other independent professionals, they offer private individual and group services, online and in-person, to the expatriate and Portuguese-speaking community, based on technical and collaborative work between the areas of Medicine, Nutrition, Odontology, Psychology and Physiotherapy, through Florescer Cuida from you.

Our oldest activity, the Biopsychosocial Service Ouvidos no Vondel, formed by volunteer professionals, aims to offer a space for listening and technical support for Portuguese speakers over 18 years of age, living in the Netherlands. The service takes place on the first Saturday of the month, from 10am to 12pm, free of charge.

Sessions are individual and in some occasions we also offer groups. The areas of attention are: assistance with a psychologist; consultancy with an economist on relocating to the job market or planning a new business in the Netherlands; health consultancy; thematic meeting coordinated by a doctor and psychologist and biopsychosocial consultation.
